You've probably noticed that I also have a great affinity for wood and wood materials, especially when it comes to developing this ancient building material further, modifying it, yet still retaining its healthy aspects. There is currently an increasingly large group of thermally treated woods on the market, which, through some very clever processes, manage to equip a simple pine, for example, without the need for any coating to be applied, giving it a significantly longer lifespan. This includes both dimensional stability and surface quality, while the natural material's origin is still clearly identifiable in cross-section.
