What have you discovered for yourself recently?
Podcasts on the train. That sounds so banal, but I used to reach for a book or do some work instead. For a while now it’s been podcasts in my ears, ideally multi-part documentaries you can really get lost in. The upside: you don’t just learn loads, you also get to gaze into the distance and watch the landscape roll past.
How do you stay up to date?
With my iPhone. While I brush my teeth I have my first scroll through the Tagesspiegel Checkpoint newsletter (how healthy that is, is debatable...) and the most important news flutters onto my home screen as push notifications. More news, inspiration, tasty recipes and the latest animal videos come from Instagram.
Who would you like to swap places with for a day?
My dog Bruno. Food, playdates, snacks, cuddle sessions, a bit of »work«, more sleep and, most importantly, no FOMO. How amazing is that?!
What is your favourite building and why?
During my interior architecture internship a few years ago, I developed a soft spot for exposed concrete buildings that hasn’t really let go of me since. It all started with Tadao Ando’s Conference Pavilion on the Vitra Campus. Today one of my favourite buildings is the Chipperfield Kantine in Berlin-Mitte. I’m fascinated by how the exposed concrete facade stands in wonderful contrast to the surrounding neighbourhood. Between 19th-century tenement houses and East German prefab blocks, it offers a stylish retreat from the hustle and bustle of Berlin.

Which topic is keeping you busy right now?
Tell us briefly which building products it’s about and what you want to achieve. We’ll get back to you with an initial assessment. We often start with our »Day One« workshop: a day at your premises, where marketing, sales and senior management set priorities together.
