In the »Day One« workshop, you spend a day sorting out what matters now in your specification-led project business, what can wait and what you should drop

Two of us bring an outside view while marketing, sales and senior management spend a day around one table. By the evening, you have a first draft of your shared roadmap.

When you need the workshop

  • Everything seems equally urgent

Right now, a lot is due at once, from the website to training for your sales force. We sort it out with you so you know where to start, what can wait and what to drop.

  • Everyone argues differently

In campaigns, marketing highlights different strengths of your building products than sales stresses in meetings with architects. On the day, you agree on one line that sounds the same at the trade fair as in the architecture practice.

  • You want to enter a new market

Whether it’s a new segment or entering the German market: before you commit budget, you work out with us which target groups, project stages and arguments matter. That way, you start with a plan everyone in the company stands behind.

Four steps from kick-off to roadmap

The day at your premises is the visible part. To make it count, we first get to know your building products, target groups and documents. At the end, you have a roadmap with a timeline and, where possible, a budget framework, plus two or three signals that later show you whether it’s working, such as project enquiries or sample requests. We record everything so that colleagues who weren’t there can work with it too.

  1. Kick-off

In a remote meeting of one to two hours, we agree with you on the goal, the participants and the topics for the day.

  2. Preparation

We review your website, documents and communication and build the day around your questions. Depending on the task, we gather views from our Architecture Advisory Board beforehand.

  3. The day at your premises

Two of us come to you for a full day. Together we go through your brand, products, target groups, competitors and how marketing and sales work together.

  4. Follow-up

We document insights and decisions and develop the draft from the day into your roadmap.

»The ›Day One‹ workshop with you was exciting. We realised how differently we tick and that we sometimes lose sight of the bigger picture. A really valuable exchange, you can feel your expertise.«

Tim Thölenjohann Head of Target Group Marketing, Remmers

Any questions?

Who should take part?

The people who make decisions on marketing and sales: senior management, the heads of marketing and sales and, depending on the topic, product management or technical services as well. The day works just as well with two participants as with ten.

What do we need to prepare?

Very little. We clarify the goal, participants and topics in the kick-off, before we review your website and materials ourselves. For the day, you mainly need a room and the time of everyone involved in the decisions.

Can it be done remotely?

We hold the kick-off remotely. The day itself works best at your premises, with everyone in the same room. If there’s no other way, we also work digitally.

What role does the Architecture Advisory Board play?

Before we come to you, we ask members of our Architecture Advisory Board for their view where it suits the task, for example on your website or your arguments. In the workshop, we bring in their assessments. That way, you hear early on how architecture practices see you.

Is the workshop already the strategy?

No, the workshop is the starting point. On the day, we work with what you already have. From that come a clear direction and initial recommendations. Deeper analysis and a fully worked-out strategy can follow if you want to take that step.

Do we have to keep working with you afterwards?

No. The workshop has a fixed price and stands on its own. The roadmap is yours, even if you implement it with your own team or your lead agency. If you want to continue, we can also put the actions into practice with you.

The first step is a short message

Tell us where things are stuck right now and who should be there. We’ll get back to you with a proposal for the kick-off.
