Terms of participation for prize draws

The organiser of prize draws on www.hej.build and on the associated LinkedIn page linkedin.com/company/hejbuild/ and Instagram page instagram.com/hejbuild/ is hej.build GmbH, registered office: Mathildenstr. 15a, 45130 Essen (hereinafter: hej.build). For prize draws via the Facebook and Instagram pages, the following also applies: the prize draw is not connected with Facebook or Instagram in any way and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or organised by Facebook or Instagram.

Participation in prize draws by hej.build is governed by these terms of participation and by the rules for individual prize draws, which set out the procedure and period of the prize draw, the prizes, and how the winners are determined and announced. Non-cash prizes cannot be paid out in cash and cannot be exchanged. By taking part in the competition, participants accept the terms of participation and the prize draw rules.

Participation in prize draws by hej.build is free of charge and is not conditional on the purchase of goods or services from hej.build. hej.build notifies the winners by email (for prize draws on Facebook via the messaging function and for prize draws on Instagram via the messaging function).

All persons aged 18 and over who are resident in the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria or Switzerland are eligible to take part. Children or young people may only take part if their parents or legal guardians consent to their participation in the prize draw before they take part; in the event of a win, the prize is handed over to the parents or legal guardians. Employees of hej.build and relatives of these employees are excluded from participation. Each participant may only take part once in any individual prize draw.

Any breach of the terms of participation, including the rules for the prize draw concerned, entitles hej.build to exclude the participant in question from participation. This applies in particular if a participant provides false information when registering for the prize draw or attempts to manipulate the course of the prize draw or the conditions for receiving a prize (e.g. by manipulating software). If the excluded participant is a winner, the prize may be withdrawn retrospectively. The entitlement to the prize also lapses if the prize cannot be delivered within six weeks of the first notification of the win for reasons attributable to the winner; in this case, a substitute winner is determined. Participants undertake not to share any unlawful content.

hej.build reserves the right to end the prize draw early, in whole or in part, at any time and without observing any notice periods, or to change its course, if it is not possible to ensure that the prize draw is conducted properly for technical reasons (e.g. computer virus, manipulation of or errors in software/hardware) or legal reasons.

hej.build collects, processes and uses the personal data that participants provide when taking part in the prize draw (e.g. name, address, email address) in order to conduct the prize draw, in particular for the purpose of notifying the winners.

hej.build reserves the right to pass on the winner’s data to third parties if this is necessary for delivering and redeeming the prize. Participants agree to their data being used for this purpose.
