What was your life like before hej.build?
Before hej.build I worked at an advertising agency in Düsseldorf and took the plunge into self-employment in 2020.
How do you stay up to date?
I keep up to date through Instagram, Pinterest and podcasts, depending on the topic. It’s fun to scroll through the feeds and collect inspiration, whether for design ideas or exciting projects. I have to admit, though, that my screen time is far too high…
Who would you like to swap places with for a day?
Ideally with a lazy cat (or mine)! A day without obligations: just lying around, sleeping, eating, stretching and enjoying a bit of sun. Sounds perfect.
What is your favourite building and why?
My favourite building is hard to pin down, but I find buildings that combine history and modernity fascinating. Industrial monuments that have been creatively repurposed, like the Dortmunder U, a former brewery that now serves as a centre for art and creativity, have a special appeal. They show how architecture can outlast time and function while making room for something new.
