Heinrich Böhm from our Architecture Advisory Board

Heinrich Böhm is an architect and heads the serviced apartments and senior living division at JOI-Design Innenarchitekten. He designs hospitality projects and accessible spaces and likes to give empty buildings a new purpose. He is concerned with how construction and design costs can be reduced without losing quality, and with what AI is changing in design and construction.

What convinced you to join the hej.build Architecture Advisory Board?

I value direct exchange with industry partners and suppliers. This creative group gives me a wonderful opportunity to pass on my knowledge and experience and to gain new ideas in return.

What is most on your mind at the moment in architecture, interior architecture or building products?

What can we do with what already exists? How can we reduce construction and planning costs without losing quality? How will AI change design and construction processes? How do we create good architecture and interior architecture with less material and less effort?

What does good architecture/interior architecture mean to you?

Good architecture and interior architecture begin with listening. Translating what you have heard into function, space, atmosphere, light and material should then make the world a little bit better than it was before.
