What convinced you to join the hej.build Architecture Advisory Board?
I got to know the hej.build team at the annual 3daysofdesign event in Copenhagen. I liked the idea of the Architecture Advisory Board from the start. Close exchange with companies and manufacturers is of the utmost importance. Only by working well together can we create innovations and solutions that change the construction industry for the long term. I’m looking forward to making my contribution here.
What focus do you hope to bring to the hej.build Architecture Advisory Board?
My architectural passion is uniting old and new. I want to exchange ideas about how to give old materials value again and how we can design our buildings for circularity.
What is most on your mind at the moment in architecture, interior architecture or building products?
How circularity can be scaled up most effectively in the construction industry, so that we can restructure our built environment sustainably and in a way that conserves resources.
What does good architecture/interior architecture mean to you?
Good architecture always adds value for people, both in urban space and in interiors. It must be durable and adaptable and reflect human needs.
Is there a current highlight or an all-time favourite project?
Our kindergarten »The Swan« in Gladsaxe is one of our highlights. It proved that reusing building materials is not only aesthetically and functionally convincing, but also tells children and adults a wonderful story about the value of materials.
