What have you discovered for yourself recently?
Breathing exercises. It’s truly incredible what a few minutes of concentrating on your own body and the rhythm of your breathing can do in stressful phases.
What was your life like before hej.build?
More boring, less inspired, slower, less free, more aimless, less clear, teamless, but all in all not sooo bad either, in case these attributes come across as a bit negative to you all.
How do you stay up to date?
Very specifically: LinkedIn, brand eins, omr.com, Greenpeace Magazin and lots and lots of podcasts. But also through inspiring and enlightening conversations in my own network and circle of friends. Last point: test, test, test, above all when it comes to new tools, technologies and »hypes«, so you can form your own opinion.
Who would you like to swap places with for a day?
My daughter. Being able to see the world through a child’s eyes again for a day, with today’s knowledge and clarity of mind, would surely be phenomenally enriching. Above all for the time after that one swapped day.
What is your favourite building and why?
The Centre Pompidou in Paris. A truly radical approach to a museum for its time. Did you know that without this building there would be no NIKE Air Max trainers either? And Peter Zumthor’s Therme Vals also left a lasting impression on me. For me, incredibly powerful spatial impressions come together there with the memory of a slow, unhurried weekend in the snowy Vals valley.

Which topic is keeping you busy right now?
Tell us briefly which building products it’s about and what you want to achieve. We’ll get back to you with an initial assessment. We often start with our »Day One« workshop: a day at your premises, where marketing, sales and senior management set priorities together.
