What is it about?
There are many routes into a project. If you regularly rely on tenders, the calls for bids in which products are specified for a building project, you will wonder how your own portfolio can land precisely in the specifications. That is a challenge, because such procedures usually require neutral wording.
To open our online series, we look at how to recognise and avoid dead ends in tenders. Christine Klug, architect at assmann gruppe in Dortmund, and her colleague Natalia Lang share their experience and tips from the design side. Their job is to phrase requirements so that many suitable bids come in. Manufacturers can help with this.
- Recognising where specification texts can be improved
- Understanding and taking into account the criteria for product-neutral tenders
- Telling public and private clients apart
Who is the Industry Update for?
For marketing and sales at building product manufacturers and interior brands. Marketing learns why a product description is not yet a specification text. Sales sees how its product knowledge can pave the way into the tender and make the work of architecture practices easier.
