What have you recently discovered for yourself?

Embroidery – does it sound old-fashioned? For me, it’s like drawing, just with a needle and thread. My motivation: my grandma. Her house features a few lovingly embroidered pieces of art. Now, I’m trying my hand at backstitches, satin stitches, and wrapped running stitches. And who knows – with a lot of practice, I might even manage to embroider the hej.build logo one day. 🧵✨

What did your life look like before hej.build?

A bit more planning and a bit more CAD – the classic path after an architecture degree. It was an exciting time that brought me a lot of experience and joy. Now, I can carry that experience into my newly started studies in architectural communication and, beyond that, help create exciting and inspiring projects with the wonderful hej.build team. 💙

How do you stay up to date?

Social media, the internet, and exchanges with my network keep me updated daily on politics, architecture, and climate protection. When time allows, I also like to turn to a good old-fashioned newspaper or magazine. It’s a balancing act between the constant buzz of the digital world and a touch of analog nostalgia. But my personal favorite is definitely podcasts. As a true audio drama enthusiast, I love stories in audio format. If they come with some informative value – even better. 🎧

If you could swap lives with someone for a day, who would it be?

That would be the character Dulcie from the book »The Offing« by Benjamin Myers. Her love for literature and nature reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty of life – I like that. And who wouldn’t want to spend a day in a cottage by the sea? 🌊

What is your favorite building and why?

The Robie House by Frank Lloyd Wright in Chicago, Illinois, is for me the perfect example of harmonious architecture that aligns with nature and its surroundings. Wright’s innovative strength and his ability to adapt architecture to the needs of people inspire me deeply. For me, the Robie House represents not only innovative design but also the idea that architecture can positively influence people’s lives – and that makes it my absolute favorite building.
