Our goal was to showcase wienerberger’s custom-made facing bricks in the project »The Colors of Cologne«. In collaboration with URBANLUST and artist Kirsten Lampert, wienerberger developed special bricks whose colors are created through the combination of various clays and modern firing techniques. These bricks are designed to reflect the historical colors of Cologne while meeting the demands of modern urban development.

Our services
🧠 Concept: Intensive sparring to determine the visual and content implementation.
🎥 Documentation: We documented the brick manufacturing process at the Maaseik plant in Belgium. From mixing the clays to the firing techniques, we were there. Stefan Vandenbruaene from wienerberger guided us through the process, while Prof. Christian Heuchel and Martin Bachem from URBANLUST explained the creative vision.
🎬 Post-production: Creation of a nearly 4-minute corporate video and social media reels highlighting the unique aspects of the custom bricks for Parkstadt Süd in Cologne.
