Expert in resource-efficient architecture and social sustainability

What convinced you to become part of the hej.build architectural advisory board?

The exchange with manufacturers and colleagues. The opportunity to give feedback and possibly change a few small things.

What are you most interested in at the moment in terms of architecture, interior design or building products?

The building turnaround, especially with functional and social sustainability - in planning, building practice and the consumption of resources. How do we manage to break new ground - with confidence, feasible costs and reasonable effort?

What is good architecture/interior design for you – in a few words?

It must create a place that people enjoy visiting, using and living in and ideally offer added value on several levels: for the users, the neighborhood, the district. And it should be mindful of what is already there and what is needed to create it.

Is there a current highlight or an all-time favorite project that you would like to tell us about?

Our Magdas Hotel in Vienna: We got the maximum out of a minimum of resources - reorganized what was already there and created a great joint project by motivating and activating many people.

What motivates you in your work?

How we develop things plays a big role for me - the process loops of listening, adapting and communicating as well as the fun of working together.
